I recently posted on my social media this image of my long strappy dress with embossed floral tulle talking about the meaning of wearing red.
Red is an empowering and strengthening color. I have many clients who have told me that when they are having a down day, they often wear a piece of this color to cheer them up. But what does wearing this shade mean when we talk about color psychology?
It is a bold color that denotes heat, danger, power, passion and strength. It is the color chosen when we are looking for the perfect look for a romantic evening, or when we want to highlight our character or not be forgotten. The color red is usually associated with a strong woman.
On the other hand, when red is used as a secondary color, it can motivate people to make quick decisions and increase expectations regarding something, but it is also best to avoid it in confrontations or discussions as it can enhance the different reactions or tone of the conversation. Sometimes just a touch of red, like a lipstick or a pair of high heels, can help and give us that push we need to do something or go somewhere.
And you, do you usually dress in red?
